Chavez-Martinez, Claudia

Welcome to my Science Corner! I'm excited to be part of your child's life and look forward to a great school year!

About me:
I was born and raised in El Paso and obtained my Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a certification in grades 4-8 from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

I started my teaching career in 2007 as a fifth grade teacher at Douglass Elementary.  In 2008, I became part of the Mesita family. I taught 4th grade for three years and was then given the opportunity to be the fourth and fifth grade monolingual Science Teacher and Science Fair Chair Person.  I am very fortunate to focus in Science because my interest in science dates back to my childhood years!

Message to Students:

If you are a respectful, responsible, and hard working student,  you will be successful in anything you set your mind to!
