am a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. My early teaching
experience was teaching Art at the Middle School level. I have been
teaching Art at the Elementary Level for several years. I am also a 5th
grade homeroom teacher. I oversee the 5th grade students in the
Accelerated Reader program. I also teach the students strategies and
skills in preparation for the STAAR test. My conference time is every day from 2:45-3:25, Monday, and Wednesday through Friday. (Tuesday is reserved for Grade Level meetings)
I am blessed that I have been at Mesita for many years. The students, parents, faculty and staff are the most incredible people I have known in my life.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job culminates with the annual Art Fair. Every grade level is represented with the wonderful artwork created by the students. If you have never experienced it, please plan to attend the next one! Here are a few pictures of the art activities at the last Art Fair.
